Job summary

Wausau Supply Company seeks an Engineering Specialist to support manufacturing operations through process documentation, data collection, troubleshooting, continuous improvement projects, and project execution.

This role functions as a key link between manufacturing operations and engineering, helping maintain process standards, supporting equipment and process improvements, and advancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations by assisting with troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
• Work closely with operators, supervisors, maintenance, and engineering personnel to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with implementation of process changes and manufacturing improvements.
• Participate in production meetings and provide technical support as needed.
• Help maintain manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Develop, update, and maintain work instructions, visual aids, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Support document control activities related to manufacturing processes.
• Assist with process audits to ensure compliance with established standards.

What This Role Will Be Doing

The Engineering Specialist supports manufacturing operations through process documentation, data collection, troubleshooting, continuous improvement activities, and project execution. This position serves as a key link between manufacturing operations and engineering, assisting with maintaining process standards, supporting equipment and process improvements, and helping drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The Engineering Specialist works under guidance while developing technical expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Duties/Responsibilities (including, But Not Limited To)

Manufacturing Support

• Support daily manufacturing operations by assisting with troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
