Job summary

RTX’s Effectors Center in the SE&TC Directorate seeks Systems Support Engineers focused on Lab Integration to support the AMRAAM portfolio. You will perform integration and verification testing, collect and analyze data, and create test documentation for formal reviews.

On-site role in Tucson, with security clearance requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of hardware integration experience, plus proficiency with test equipment and data analysis.

The Effectors Center in the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Directorate is seeking Systems Support Engineers focused on Lab Integration in support of Air Dominance Sub Strategic Business Unit leading the Special Integration & Test Lab. In this role, you will be supporting the successful completion of test events and the associated analysis of test data in support of the AMRAAM portfolio of weapons.

What You Will Do

• Perform integration, verification, and field qualification testing to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements.
• Perform data collection activities, including review and analysis of data elements, and provide detailed reports of results.
• Trace and/or correct faults in mechanical or electronic systems
• Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which will include Test Plans and Procedures, Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain additional program access as required.

Please note: This position requires you to work on site in Tucson. No remote work available.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Hardware Systems Integration experience
• Experience evaluating requirements.
• Experience with troubleshooting and failure process
• Experience with the use of lab/field test equipment
• Experience with Verification and Validation methods.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in RF integration of hardware systems with high level of understanding of digital signal processing algorithms, advanced waveforms, antenna patterns, and techniques used in resource-constrained missile systems.
• Experience with RF spectral and temporal effects for sensor and backgrounds, including clutter, multipath, self-interference, grounding and shielding, and mitigation factors.
• Experience in integrating RF sensor output, either modulated waveforms or streams of digital samples used for real-time representation of RF scenes data collection / analysis (including Telemetry)
• Test Systems design experience and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines, such as electrical, electronics, mechanical, software, and computer engineering.
• Experience in integration with test equipment, telemetry data analysis tools, and missile systems host platforms.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
