Job summary

Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington, DE seeks a Director of Engineering + Security to oversee maintenance across the hotel, creating preventive programs to minimize breakdowns and ensure a superior guest experience. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades while coordinating capital projects and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hotel maintenance leadership, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to be on-call for emergencies, including

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in a hotel.
• Experience across HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance for guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house to ensure reliability and appeal.
• Lead capital projects; schedule, direct and follow up to completion.
• Ensure proper tools, equipment, and safe handling/storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
