Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling to optimize production flow and on-time delivery of drawings to Sales and manufacturing.

You will coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to build accurate schedules aligned with business goals and operational efficiency. The role requires 2+ years in planning/scheduling in a manufacturing/engineering environment, strong analytical skills, and bilingual Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of planning, scheduling, or operations experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Ability to raise issues early and communicate difficult information clearly.
• Detail-oriented with execution and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust engineer schedules to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.
• Balance engineering capacity with customer demand and labor availability.
• Lead scheduling strategies for efficient changeovers and balanced workloads.
• Serve as liaison between Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering regarding schedule status and updates.
• Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and risks clearly across the team.
• Provide daily/weekly schedule reports to leadership with insights and recommendations.
• Manage scheduling systems and planning reports for accuracy and functionality.
• Track and analyze metrics like schedule adherence and WIP levels.
• Develop and improve scheduling processes and communication protocols.
• Promote a culture of accountability and urgency.
