Job summary

HireNetworks is seeking an Engineering Research Technician on a contract-to-hire basis in the Raleigh, NC area. The role focuses on signal data collection across bolts, with safety and data integrity as primary concerns.

You will work mainly in the laboratory, using a variety of tools, performing soldering and basic electronics repair as needed, and maintaining high-value equipment. This is a second-shift opening with a strong conversion path and benefit package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Science and engineering lab experience preferred; field technicians may apply.
• Able to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Hands-on laboratory work environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to follow experiment plans and procedures.
• Confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Willing to operate potentially hazardous equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Experience with hydraulic equipment, ultrasonic transducers, and soldering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory testing and data collection.
• Maintain safety and data integrity in acquisition.
• Organize large data sets without losing detail.
• Care for high-value laboratory equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Keep workspace organized and clean to reduce safety risks.
• Operate hydraulic equipment (training provided).
• Operate ultrasonic transducers (training provided).
• Evaluate ultrasonic waveform quality (training provided).
• Possible local field data collection for certain projects.
• Drive results through action and resilience.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
