Job summary

Penn State University’s Applied Research Laboratory in State College, PA seeks an Engineering Project Adviser to support Agile Systems Engineering. You will assist in planning, develop PM work products, and prepare presentations for ARL and external sponsors.

You will analyze costs and schedules, track milestones, and produce technical and financial status reports while coordinating with PMs, lead engineers, and investigators to ensure timely project execution. This is an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with project management concepts applied to real-world projects.
• Experience writing white papers or reports.
• Ability to express ideas clearly to drive understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning and development of project management work products with technical leads.
• Create and review presentations and reports to support project execution, coordinating large meetings and reviews at ARL.
• Analyze program costs, schedules, and milestones to assess risk and manage changes to deliverables.
• Report to ARL project leadership and external collaborators, including government sponsors.
• Develop and manage technical and financial status reports and data package documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Lead Systems Engineers, and Principal Investigators to ensure timely execution.
