Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Engineering Project Manager I to manage scope, schedule, and budget of engineering projects and stakeholder relations, supporting a Market portfolio for Mortenson Operating Group across wind, solar, battery storage, substations, and transmission.

You will build and maintain project schedules, lead design team meetings, use construction management software, manage issues to deadlines, and collaborate with design and field teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated ability to navigate large projects and bring clarity and structure to complexity.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/web-based tools.
• Ability to drive workstreams independently and mentor entry level employees.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain schedules for engineering projects by coordinating with the engineering teams and design phase manager.
• Facilitate and lead design team meetings related to project coordination.
• Learn and use construction management software to manage all project phases and submittals.
• Manage open engineering project issues to close by deadlines.
• Collaborate with design team engineers, design phase managers, and field team project managers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
