Job summary

PX Group in Stockton on Tees is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the full project lifecycle within an engineering environment, ensuring delivery of scope on time and within budget while protecting margin.

You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and commissioning, develop plans and reports, attend client meetings, and drive progress through internal and external reviews; on-the-job training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• HND or degree in a technical/engineering discipline.
• PMI, APM or equivalent PM qualification is preferred.
• Experience as Project Manager in an engineering environment.
• Experience delivering projects under standard and non-standard contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Provide input and support into project proposals during bid/pre-contract stages.
• Review project and contract documents when a contract is assigned.
• Develop a Project Execution Plan aligned with client requirements.
• Identify criteria for completion and close-out plan for contracts.
• Develop and maintain project cost tracking and budgets; escalate overspends.
• Develop and maintain project programme and monitor progress.
• Prepare project cashflow projections and report risks.
• Lead internal/external kick-off and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate all project activities to meet schedule across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, installation and handover.
• Produce internal project summaries and monthly progress reports; complete client reports as required.
• Attend client meetings on-site or virtually and provide status updates.
