Job summary

Terracon in Harrisburg seeks a project manager/engineer to oversee facilities, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with clients and external vendors to meet contract scope.

The role requires a technical degree and relevant experience with a focus on resource planning, budgeting, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with 2+ years of related experience, or 6+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

Manage a small project or one phase of a large project under direct supervision.
Implement an established project plan.
Identify, resolve, or escape operational problems and minimize delays.
Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
Analyze project requirements and perform calculations or write reports and completes deliverables.
Coordinate the activities of outside contractors and ensure integration and satisfactory service.
Estimate costs, resources, and time; monitor progress and allocate tasks to meet targets.
Prepare regular project reports to communicate status to the client and team.
Submit deliverables within contract scope and schedule; manage budgets.
