The Senior Project Manager is a self-starter responsible for managing product improvement and infrastructure projects associated with the company's products and services. You can expect to coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, as well as focus on delivering upgrades to existing products and/or infrastructure projects. You will monitor the project from project planning through launch, including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Other duties include organizing cross-functional activities and ensuring completion of the project (i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints). The primary objective is to deliver projects on schedule, within project budget, meeting all technical requirements, and within product Cost Of Goods target.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project objectives, plans, schedules, and budget
  • Plan and execute on milestones
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving issues, and proactively managing risks/opportunities
  • Manage cross-functional project team to achieve project objectives
  • Manage the suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors on each project
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product/project documentation required by Engineering SOPs and national/international quality standards and regulations
  • Deliver medical device design documentation compliant with FDA and international design controls and good documentation practices.
  • Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers
Travel

Travel Required: minimal

Education And/Or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a field of engineering, life science or other relevant areas required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of project management experience within the medical device industry
  • Proven experience successfully leading end-to-end hardware/software design projects on deliverables, on budget, and on time for a medical device company
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile software development life cycles
  • Experience with Design Control and utilizing knowledge of IEC 62304
  • Skilled leader of cross-functional teams with senior specialists and highly skilled employees
  • Knowledge across the entire product development process from the concept phase through development, regulatory approval, production setup and launch
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication skills to all levels of the business
