Job summary

System One in Salt Lake City seeks an Engineering Project Manager for a contract role onsite. You will oversee multiple engineering projects, prioritize tasks and coordinate engineering teams to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in mechanical, biomedical, or materials science engineering, 4+ years in regulated industry, and PMP certification is preferred. Competitive hourly compensation and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering as listed (Mechanical, Biomedical, or Materials Science) is required.
• 4+ years of medical device or similarly regulated industry experience preferred.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Onsite work in Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure resources are used effectively and deadlines are met.
• Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
• Lead engineering projects; monitor progress and performance against the plan; identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors to ensure satisfactory service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical Engineering, Materials Science or applicable technical field degree required

Preferred Experience and Certifications

• 4+ years medical device or similarly regulated industry
• PMP Certification
