Job summary

Didion Inc. seeks a senior engineer to lead capital projects in biofuels manufacturing. You will guide initiatives from concept through startup, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Safety, and Leadership to deliver improvements in capacity, reliability, and safety.

You'll manage scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor relationships, drive equipment upgrades and process improvements, and contribute to capital investment planning for a growing operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Experience leading projects from concept through startup and implementation.
  • Strong budgeting, contractor management, commissioning, and project controls experience.
  • Experience in ethanol, renewable fuels, or related continuous-process industries preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Lead capital projects through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.

  • Develop scopes of work, bid packages, contractor strategies, and execution plans.

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and aligned with operational goals.

At Didion, you'll lead major capital investments that improve production capacity, reliability, safety, and operational performance across our biofuels manufacturing operations. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Leadership teams, you'll own projects from concept development through commissioning and startup while helping shape the future of a growing business. This role focuses on leading significant capital projects, managing engineering partnerships and contractors, and delivering results that have a lasting impact on our operations.

What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

  • 5+ years of engineering, project management, or capital project experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Experience leading projects from concept through implementation and startup

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, contractor management, commissioning, and project controls

  • Experience in ethanol, renewable fuels, grain processing, food manufacturing, chemical processing, or other continuous-process manufacturing environments preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
