Job summary

Terracon in North Carolina seeks an experienced project manager for facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects. You will manage all aspects to safely complete on time, within scope and budget, monitor progress, troubleshoot, and coordinate with clients and vendors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and a minimum of five years’ related experience, or nine years if no degree. PE/PG licensure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science or geology with a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
  • Alternatively, 9 years’ related experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized project.
  • Define project scope, schedule and budget with client or NAM.
  • Develop and implement a project plan for completing the project.
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with the approved safety plan.
  • Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules, budgets and forecasts; secure external contractors as needed.
  • Convene meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status.
  • Set priorities and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Coordinate with APR and accounting for oversight, invoicing and collections.
