Job summary

Wildeck, a subsidiary of Holden Industries, seeks an Engineering Project Assistant in Waukesha, WI to provide administrative and operational support to the engineering team. You will help keep projects on schedule, manage documentation, and coordinate information across departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining standards, SOPs, ECNs/ECRs, and supporting continuous improvement. The role requires strong communication, organization, and Excel‑savvy in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical, administrative or related field.
  • Two years’ experience in an administrative or project support role in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or technical office environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Proficient working with numbers, pricing, spreadsheets, and data.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional telephone and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with engineers and other team members.
  • Must speak, understand, read, and write English proficiently.
  • Physical Requirements include: Twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 25 pounds.

  • Assist with the implementation and adoption of departmental standards, procedures, and best practices across the engineering organization.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities among Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure timely execution of project requirements.
  • Support engineering pricing activities, documentation updates, reporting, and related business system transactions.
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned, providing strong communication, organization, and follow‑through to achieve departmental objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Physical Requirements include: Twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 25 pounds. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment (copier/printer). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
