CIeNET is seeking a highly organized and technically driven Engineering Program Specialist – Automation & Operations to support hardware engineering operations, shipment logistics, automation development, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced technical environment.

This role involves coordinating cross-functional operational workflows, managing shipment and allocation tracking, supporting hardware development builds, and developing automation solutions to improve efficiency across engineering and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations, technical program support, automation scripting, and data management, with a strong ability to drive process improvements and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support hardware development builds, shipment coordination, and product labeling activities.
  • Manage and maintain shipment allocation databases and tracking systems.
  • Coordinate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to monitor build plans, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure compliance with operational procedures to prevent delays.
  • Escalate and resolve shipment or logistics issues with internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, dashboards, and workflow solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain databases supporting shipment tracking, asset allocation, and NPI operations.
  • Create and maintain real-time dashboards and reporting tools to monitor shipment status, KPIs, and asset utilization.
  • Prepare SOPs, technical documentation, reports, presentations, and operational summaries.
  • Conduct operational analysis to identify process gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and partner teams to support day-to-day execution and project deliverables.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and timely updates across operational tools and tracking systems.
  • Support efficiency improvement initiatives through automation, reporting enhancements, and process optimization.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, program coordination, logistics, technical support, or automation-related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with data tracking, reporting, dashboards, and operational analysis.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Timely and accurate coordination of shipment and operational workflows.
  • Successful implementation of automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • High data accuracy and operational reliability across tracking systems and dashboards.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.
  • Improved operational efficiency through workflow optimization and automation solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hardware engineering or consumer electronics programs.
  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and supply chain operations.
  • Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools such as Looker Studio, Google Sheets, or Excel.
  • Understanding of logistics coordination, shipment tracking, or asset management workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-paced and ambiguous operational environments.
