Job summary

Prime Hiring Solutions is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager - Soft Goods in Boulder, CO to drive development of highly engineered consumer products. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, and OEM partners across the product lifecycle.

The role requires strong project management experience and deep knowledge of soft goods development, with the ability to manage schedules, BOMs, and vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project/program management experience.
• Experience driving development of highly engineered consumer products.
• Technical experience with soft goods product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage build deliverables including project schedules, build matrices, BOMs, and entry/exit criteria.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings with cross-functional engineering, operations, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage material sourcing activities and track supplier lead times, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Manage vendor quotations, PO processing, and payment follow-ups.
• Coordinate prototype shipments including shipment tracking, serial numbering, and delivery status.
• Track project risks, issues, and action items and drive timely closure.
• Partner with OEMs and external suppliers to drive execution and maintain schedules.
• Monitor project milestones and communicate status, risks, dependencies, and schedule changes to stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager - Soft Goods to support the development and execution of highly engineered consumer products. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, technical knowledge of soft goods, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, and OEM partners throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage key build deliverables, including project schedules, build matrices, BOMs, and entry/exit criteria.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and calls with cross-functional engineering, operations, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage material sourcing activities and track supplier lead times, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Manage vendor quotations, purchase order (PO) processing, and payment follow-ups.
• Coordinate prototype shipments, including shipment tracking, serial numbering, and delivery status.
• Track project risks, issues, and action items and drive them to timely closure throughout the development phase.
• Partner closely with OEMs and external suppliers to drive execution, resolve issues, and maintain project schedules.
• Monitor project milestones and communicate status, risks, dependencies, and schedule changes to stakeholders.
• Support product builds and ensure deliverables are completed according to defined requirements and timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project/program management experience.
• Proven experience driving the development of highly engineered consumer products.
• Technical experience with soft goods product development.
• Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors/OEM partners.
• Experience managing schedules, BOMs, build plans, materials, and project deliverables.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced product development environment.
