Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to own cross-functional diagnostic development projects from concept to deployment, coordinating hardware and software workstreams across teams.

You will drive schedules, lead design reviews, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of AppleCare diagnostic programs for new hardware and software releases, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and execution. Requires 4+ years of experience and a degree in CS/EE/IE.

In AppleCare we believe in providing world class support to our customers for the devices that they have purchased. We are looking for a highly motivated and self driven individual who will drive cross functional diagnostic development projects. This individual will have to own the overall schedule of diagnostic projects from conceptualization to design to execution to deployment.

Key Qualifications

Description

You will be responsible for recognizing and communicating cross-functional issues and risks. You will work with engineering teams to develop requirements drive implementation schedules coordinate and drive fixes or mitigations for software issues as well as present the potential issues and their impact to field technician workflows and other impacted teams. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with AppleCare Readiness teams and Diagnostic architects to understand and lead software and systems changes needed to support new hardware and software projects
  • Design project implementation plans for diagnostic feature development and complete those plans with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Lead design reviews and approve design milestones and success criteria for each milestone
  • Coordinate program reviews and status updates on top engineering issues to all levels of management including high-level executives.
  • Lead validation of AppleCare diagnostic projects for new hardware and software releases
  • Ensure close inter-team coordination and end-to-end collaboration on deliverables
  • Overall responsibility to ensure all engineering and technical aspects of AppleCare diagnostic programs are delivered in a timely manner
Education & Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science Electronics Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience in related occupation.
Pay & Benefits
  • The base pay range for this role is between $160700 and $241500
  • Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
