Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a senior business process owner for Engineering Document Management within the Product Lifecycle Management domain.

You will drive end-to-end performance, governance, and continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality teams. The role focuses on defining content control requirements, standardizing processes, and leading change management to improve data quality and user adoption globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years in model-year-based new product development with Engineering BOM and controlled documentation.
  • 4+ years managing complex cross-functional projects in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience leading technical document management in a large organization.
  • Experience in product development business process ownership, optimization and change management is preferred.
  • Expert-level proficiency with PTC Windchill and Microsoft Office apps (SharePoint, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to lead change and motivate stakeholders at multiple levels in a matrixed org.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME and end-to-end process owner for Engineering Document Management, including integration, optimization, sustainability, and governance.
  • Own and improve Engineering processes to be well defined, scalable, sustainable, and delivering measurable value.
  • Define Engineering content control requirements to reduce downstream defects from incorrect or missing information.
  • Lead process design, documentation, standards, training materials, and self-service resources.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, requirements gathering, solution definition, validation, UAT, change management, and implementation activities.
  • Align process objectives with long-range plans, capability and technology roadmaps, and organizational strategy.
  • Partner with governance boards and stakeholders to prioritize investments and support sponsorship.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and stakeholder engagement models for process initiatives.
  • Define, monitor, and control process adherence for compliance and data stewardship.
  • Develop and track metrics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and risks.
  • Oversee end-user support to resolve issues and improve productivity.
  • Lead change management, communication, training, and adoption strategies for global users.

Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
