Job summary

Sempra Infrastructure in Houston seeks a senior process engineering leader to drive contractor and supplier process work from early project development through the Execute phase. You will coordinate with the E&C Engineering teams to ensure technical integrity and compliance with project specs and guidelines.

The role requires a 4-year degree and roughly 10 years of related LNG and energy infrastructure experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience on International Oil & Gas Projects, LNG import/export.
  • Ability to architect solutions addressing enterprise-level engineering needs.
  • Ability to communicate strategic technical recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence technical direction beyond immediate team boundaries.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principles within a defined specialty.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, operational, and business constraints affecting designs.
  • Skill in defining technical approaches and standards for complex initiatives.
  • Skill in resolving ambiguous, high-risk technical problems.

  • Serves as the company’s primary representative within industry workgroups and consortia.

Job description

Primary Purpose
Responsible for the successful execution of contractor and supplier Process engineering work starting in the early project development phases through the project Execute phase. Coordinates the execution of engineering scopes with the functional E&C Engineering team and all other discipline engineering teams. Ensures compliance with project specifications, SI guidelines and philosophies, and maintains the technical integrity of the engineering throughout the project lifecycle .

  • Required: Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
  • Required: Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 10 years of prior experience working on International Oil & Gas Projects, specifically in LNG import and export facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Required: Ability to architect solutions that address enterprise-level engineering needs.
  • Required: Ability to communicate strategic technical recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Required: Ability to influence technical direction beyond immediate team boundaries.

Work Schedule

HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 4 days per week onsite.
