Job summary

Synchron, LLC is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support the U.S. Navy Team Submarine at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.

The role involves coordinating with PMS 397 and construction groups to advance submarine program objectives. The ideal candidate will bring DoD/NAVSEA experience, a SECRET clearance, and a strong background in project management, communication, and multi-tasking within a government contracting context.

Qualifications

• Active DoD/DoW SECRET clearance is required.
• U.S. Citizen.
• 10 years of experience in project or program operations and management; DoD/NAVSEA experience preferred.
• BS/BA in technical or business field.
• Working knowledge of MS Teams and MS Office 365 Suite of programs.
• Ability to understand and succinctly summarize and communicate technical issues.
• Experience within either naval industrial base, logistics, workforce, or finance.
• Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally with government and contractor representatives.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple, unrelated projects.
• Frame problems and propose viable paths forward.
• Coordinate between diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for updates and briefings.
• Provide support including problem investigation and resolution.
• Offer creative approaches to problem solving beyond previous methods.
• Act as Build II Construction Manager's go-to for non-core projects.
• Participate in systems and program design reviews.
• Support program schedule tracking and action item closure.
• Assist in developing program briefs.
