Job summary

FindTalent is supporting a leading utility to hire a Project Manager II for onsite work in the Southeast. The role delivers engineering project management and technical direction for small to medium-scale electric substation, transmission, distribution, and communications projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive utility project management experience and strong PMBOK knowledge, with the ability to manage client relationships, oversee teams, and coordinate subcontractors for successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PE registration and PMP certification are desirable.
• Minimum 5 years in the utility industry.
• Proficiency with PMBOK fundamentals.
• Experience with project accounting and contract pricing methods.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships in a matrix organization.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects per company policies and procedures.
• Provide technical direction for substation, transmission, distribution, and communications projects.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective communication.
• Administer contracts, identify change orders, and manage subcontractors.
• Implement change control and risk management processes.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and quality programs.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and project reporting.
• Conduct project meetings and progress reviews.
• Provide performance feedback to team members and management.
• Maintain project financial reporting and profitability.
• Oversee invoicing and cash flow management.
