Rodriguez Consulting, LLC is seeking an Engineering Plans Leader I to oversee AutoCAD Civil 3D survey drafting for Philadelphia infrastructure projects. You will lead the creation of base plans, boundary and right-of-way surveys, and ALTA/NSPS surveys for the Philadelphia Water Department and other clients.
In this leadership role, you’ll manage and mentor drafters, align output with CADD standards, and collaborate with licensed surveyors, field teams, and engineers.
Every water main, sewer, and green stormwater project in Philadelphia starts with a base plan. Somebody has to get the property lines, the right-of-way, and every utility in the street right before a single design decision gets made. At Rodriguez Consulting, that work is led by our Engineering Plans Leader, and we're hiring one.
You’ll lead AutoCAD Civil 3D survey drafting production for our infrastructure work in Philadelphia. That includes existing conditions surveys and base plans, boundary and right-of-way surveys, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys for the Philadelphia Water Department, the Streets Department, and other public and private clients.
This is a leadership role. You’ll direct and review the work of our Engineering Technicians, Engineering Aides, and Project Coordinators, bring new drafting staff up to our CADD standards, and work closely with our licensed surveyor, field survey team, and design engineers.
We’re a Philadelphia infrastructure firm of about forty people, founded in 2007 and based in Fishtown. Our plans carry the firm’s name, and your work will be seen and valued. We’re SBE, MBE, DBE, and LBE certified, and one of only four LBE-certified engineering firms in Philadelphia. Through Rodriguez University, our workforce development initiative, we invest in training the next generation of technical staff. If mentoring matters to you, you’ll find a place for it here.
