Job summary

Lockheed Martin – Rotary and Mission Systems in Owego, NY is seeking an Engineering Planner to join the Naval Helo Mission Systems team. You will support program planning and execution, collecting metrics, staffing projections, and preparing integrated master schedules to ensure on-time delivery of critical naval helicopter programs.

You will interact with technical leads, program managers, and customers, maintaining cost and schedule controls and coordinating plans for new or existing programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, preferably Excel.
• Associates Degree from accredited college.
• Demonstrated ability to work multiple tasks concurrently.
• Demonstrated ability to create effective working relationships across organizations and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect and compile metrics to be reviewed with technical leads, program managers, and engineering program managers for accuracy and validity.
• Collect and evaluate workforce planning reports to support workload reviews and future staffing projections.
• Track, compare, and report weekly actuals against monthly staffing plans.
• Evaluate planned vs. actual performance management in support of Earned Value Management, Work Package Management, and Control Account Management.
• Perform Integrated Master Schedule Development and Schedule Status Management.
• Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs.
• Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Supports and participates in negotiations with customer.
• Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas to determine cost-efficient resources.
• Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses progress against plans and parameters.
• Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, and fund allocations.
