Colorado Department of Transportation in the Denver metropolitan area seeks a Finals Engineering Technician to support auditing final pay documentation, verify engineering calculations, and ensure contract compliance. You will review as-constructed plans, prepare project closure reports, and assist with final contractor payments.
Travel throughout Metro Denver/Front Range is expected; occasional overnight trips may occur.
This position is only open to Colorado state residents. New employees to the State will be paid biweekly. There are 26 biweekly pay periods in a year.

The Transportation Engineering Finals work unit at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) ensures that all documentation complies with contract terms as well as State and Federal requirements. This unit provides guidance to CDOT personnel on documentation requirements for items such as contract modification orders, project pay documentation, contract claim settlements, computer programs, and project budgets.
CDOT has a vacancy for a Finals Engineering Technician in our Metro Denver location. This position assists with auditing final pay documentation and verifying engineering calculations are accurate, complete, and meet contract terms. Examines "as Constructed Plans" for completeness, contract compliance, and CDOT requirements. Requests release of final payment to contractors and compiles information related to construction projects and financial data for reports.
