Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking peer tutors to assist undergraduates in math, science, and engineering courses through Tau Beta Pi’s Peer Tutoring Program in the Elbert E. Ray eStudio. Training will be provided and in-person tutoring is available on campus.

Applicants must be UK Engineering students in Fall 2026 with junior or senior status and a strong GPA. Tau Beta Pi members are preferred; resumes and transcripts must be included in the application.

Qualifications

• UK Engineering students must be in Fall 2026 with junior or senior status.
• GPA 3.5+ preferred, 3.2+ accepted.
• Tau Beta Pi members preferred; other engineering students encouraged to apply.
• Resume and transcript required for review.

Responsibilities

• Tutor UK math, science and engineering courses in small groups.
• Greet tutees, provide guidance and help study strategies.
• Explain concepts without giving direct answers or replacing instructors.
• Participate in extensive training before tutoring; in-person sessions on campus.
• Shifts 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, Fall 2026 semester; 3–10 hours per week.
