Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure and deliver 99.999% uptime. You will perform daily rounds, monitor critical systems, and assist with troubleshooting within SLAs.
Role involves rack installs, preventive maintenance, change-management writing, and on-site collaboration with contractors. Shifts can be up to 12 hours, with on-call rotations and travel between sites as needed.

This role acts as Amazon’s front line for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting, reporting to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager (FM). You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center facility equipment including standby diesel generators, fuel systems, three‑phase electrical systems such as switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries, as well as mechanical equipment such as CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water systems, air handlers, pumps, and motors. Additional support equipment includes fire/life safety equipment, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.

The base salary range for this position is 37.00 – 65.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
