Join our dynamic team and become a critical guardian of technological infrastructure! As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of mission‑critical technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences and help maintain an extraordinary 99.999% uptime.

Engineering Technicians are Amazon’s front line for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They maintain, operate, and troubleshoot Data Center Operations’ mission‑critical facilities, including stand‑by diesel generators, fuel systems, three‑phase electrical systems such as switchgear, UPS, PDUs, wet‑cell batteries, CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water chemical systems, air handlers, pumps, and motors.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovations they rely on. I’ll work alongside software, hardware, network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other experts to deliver safety and security standards while providing high capacity at the lowest possible cost.

NOTE: PDX is an AWS GovCloud region. Effective February 24, 2026, logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. citizens. (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States).

Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.

  • Monitor daily work requests, manage resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
  • On‑site support of contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work performed follows established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
