Job summary

ESAero in San Luis Obispo, CA, seeks an Engineering Operations Administrator to bolster the Director of Engineering and leadership with strategic administrative support. The role focuses on efficiency, cadences, and health of the Engineering department, coordinating with Operations, Quality, Finance, and HR.

You will develop tools, track metrics, and help with capacity planning while ensuring compliance and effective communication with executives and engineers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or 3+ years of experience in engineering administration, operations management, or executive support within a technical environment.
• Experience supporting technical/engineering teams or senior technical leadership is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level operational and administrative support to the Director of Engineering and leadership team.
• Develop and optimize departmental administrative tools, intake frameworks, and tracking systems.
• Track headcount, resource availability, and capacity planning for engineering groups.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Collect and analyze departmental metrics and create executive presentations.
• Support compliance initiatives and engineering standards alignment.
• Assist with budget tracking, software licenses, and travel/expense reviews.
• Identify operational risks and implement process improvements.
