Enviva, a leading renewable energy company, seeks an Engineering and Operations Intern for our facility in Faison, NC. This role supports process improvement, data analysis, and equipment reliability through hands-on learning in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities span engineering and operations disciplines, offering exposure to Lean practices, capital projects, and SOP development, with mentorship from experienced professionals and potential future opportunities within Enviva.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
• GPA of 2.7 or greater.
• Strong interest in manufacturing and industrial systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a plant environment (includes hot, cold, or noisy conditions).

Responsibilities

• Assist with process improvement projects to increase efficiency and quality.
• Collect and analyze technical data to support plant operations.
• Learn to use Excel, Power BI, and project tracking tools.
• Shadow engineers on capital projects and reliability strategies.
• Help create or update SOPs as part of improvements.
• Participate in plant meetings and improvement discussions.
• Support data collection during trials or maintenance events.
• Support tracking spare parts and equipment.
