Job summary

Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) seeks an experienced Engineer to lead the Engineering Division, coordinating plan review and design tasks for development projects. The role oversees the technical work of staff, conducts reviews of water and sewer system plans, and ensures compliance with HCWA standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years in water/wastewater engineering, and 3+ years in project management with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field and five years of related water/wastewater experience.
• Minimum of five years hands-on engineering design experience with water distribution and wastewater systems.
• At least three years in planning and project management with two years of supervisory experience.
• PE preferred but not required; possess or pursuing PE certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day plan review, design, and technical work of the Engineering staff.
• Oversee construction drawings for water/sewer projects and perform technical design reviews.
• Analyze and resolve design and operational issues across water and wastewater systems.
• Lead field activities to verify hydraulic conditions and data for models and designs.
• Represent HCWA at interagency and design meetings and communicate policies and standards.
• Develop rehabilitation and replacement projects in collaboration with staff and management.
