Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager in Frisco, TX to lead transportation projects, mentor staff, and grow client relationships across disciplines. You will manage budgets, schedules, and collaborate with leadership to deliver high-quality designs.

Required are a Civil Engineering degree, 15+ years of transportation/structural experience, and a PE license. Proficiency with DOT projects and MicroStation/Geopak is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state.
• 15+ years of transportation and/or structural experience with diverse project exposure.
• Experience with DOT, County, and Local Agency projects and client relationships.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead projects and teams related to transportation planning and design, traffic studies, and/or construction engineering.
• Develop and mentor staff; collaborate with other disciplines.

Engineering Manager – Farnsworth Group

Location: Frisco, TX

What You'll Do

• Manage and lead projects and teams related to transportation planning and design, traffic studies, and/or construction engineering
• Develop and mentor staff
• Collaborate with other disciplines
• Client relations
• New business development
• Establish and maintain budgets and schedules
• Work in partnership with leadership and other team members throughout the Transportation Group and Company

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program
• 15+ years transportation and/or structural experience with diverse project experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience working on and with DOT, County and Local Agency projects and have established relationships with these clients
• Proven leadership skills with engineering staff
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Ability to effectively manage clients and projects
• Ability to effectively participate and lead marketing activities
• Capacity to contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation and Geopak
