• 10+ years of industry experience including 2-5+ years in engineering management.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, secure, reliable systems.
• Experience leading AI/ML teams and delivering AI-powered solutions is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in at least one major language (Java, Python, Go, Ruby).
• Excellent communicator capable of bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience setting multi-year strategies and aligning diverse stakeholders.
• Background in fast-paced, agile environments with cross-functional teams.

The CRM Engineering team builds world-class tools that drive growth and foster meaningful relationships between Airbnb and its community, including Hosts, Guests, Law Enforcement, Government Regulators, Local Community Leaders, and more. • Growth Platform: Designed to increase supply and retain existing hosts.
• Policy Platform: Enables Airbnb to engage with regulatory bodies across the globe regarding short-term rental regulations. This platform tracks regulations that impact the Airbnb business and provides intelligence to address unique business challenges.
• Community Platform: Establishes a social platform to drive community enablement, collaboration, and success.
• Agent Tools: Empowers agents to understand and resolve issues that customers are unable to address on their own.
• Aircover Claims Platform: Facilitates the processing of claims for Aircover insurance products, offering protection to both hosts and guests.

A Typical Day:

• Technical Leadership: Define and execute the technical strategy for trust and safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with Airbnb’s long-term goals.
• Team Management: Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and partner engineering teams to develop effective, scalable solutions.
• Project Oversight: Lead end-to- end project execution, ensuring high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear communication of project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and partners.
• Operational Excellence: Champion best practices for reliability, scalability, and incident response. Maintain operational readiness for critical systems.
• Industry Awareness: Stay current on trends in Trust & Safety, and drive adoption of best practices and innovations within the team.
• Global Alignment: Work with global counterparts to ensure the India team’s initiatives are aligned with broader Trust & Safety goals.

Your Expertise:

• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, secure, and reliable systems.
• Strong experience in leading technical strategy and building scalable engineering, data, or machine learningsystems.
