Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the plant engineering group focused on stamping presses. You will direct a team of engineers to maximize efficiency and profits, reporting to the Plant Manager.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related experience, plus 5+ years in engineering management and metal press stamping. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• BSME with 5 years of engineering management experience preferred
• 5+ years working with metal press stamping
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and optimizes Manufacturing Engineering department policies and goals.
• Oversees schedules and prioritizes activities to launch new programs and improve efficiency.
• Directs Manufacturing and Controls Engineers; coordinates with other departments.
• Develops plans for new product launches and standard work processes.
• Analyzes budgets and equipment quotes; manages vendor selection and cost controls.
• Ensures compliance with plant safety and quality standards.
