Job summary

Apple Inc. is hiring an Engineering Manager for Simulation Content in Cupertino, CA. You will lead a team of engineers and artists to create 3D content and simulation-derived datasets, blending traditional and generative AI approaches to support AI/ML initiatives.

You’ll shape a roadmap, hire and mentor talent, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality datasets and tools while contributing technically to architecture and content generation.

Description

As manager of the Simulation Content team, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of innovative engineers and artists to generate and manage 3D content and generate

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing software and content as an engineer or a technical artist
• Strong software engineering background.
• Experience as a software engineering team manager.
• Experience with 3D content production: Video games, film or visual effects production are all great backgrounds.
• Experience with contemporary generative AI for coding and 3D data generation.
• User-focused: passion for customer experience, attention to details. Experience with live production software or content production teams.
• Software architecture and design skills. Ability to consider alternatives and manage risk in project planning. Ability to try new approaches to existing problems.
• Strong communication and presentational skills
• Experience leading the technical development of larger features and collaborating across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with USD format and APIs
• Experience with contemporary simulation systems (Omniverse, IssacSim, Gazebo) is a big plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $206,200 and $356,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
