Job summary

Roblox is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team of ML infrastructure engineers, building scalable, reliable ML platforms powering model development and deployment at scale. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to drive production readiness and performance.

You have 5+ years in production ML, 2+ years managing ML engineers, and a strong leadership mindset. The role is based at Roblox HQ in San Mateo, CA with opportunities for equity and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and deploying large-scale ML systems in production.
• 2+ years managing ML infrastructure engineers.
• End-to-End execution from data ingestion to serving.
• Team-first mindset focusing on mentoring and enabling others to succeed.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and roadmap of scalable production-ready ML systems (training, data pipelines, feature engineering, inference).
• Own architecture and engineering best practices for scalable ML infrastructure (training, serving, feature).
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing ML infra team.
