As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will own complex services, influence architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with business, product, and operations teams to deliver resilient platforms and excellent client experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on with microservices and API design.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL data modeling.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex full-stack services across Java/Spring Boot and React/Angular.
• Drive event-driven patterns using Kafka, including retries, idempotency, and DLQ handling.
• Improve CI/CD gates, automated testing, and release readiness.
• Own production reliability: reduce incidents and improve MTTR.
• Enhance observability with metrics, dashboards, logs, and alerts.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and coaching to promote reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with product/ops/engineering to align plans and manage risk.
• Advocate responsible AI practices and secure coding standards.
