Job summary

Upside is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Reconciliation team, a full-stack group overseeing the transaction-matching pipeline across Kotlin Multiplatform front-end and Python/Java back-end. You’ll ensure accurate cashback, post-claim experiences, and recoveries, while partnering with other leaders on strategy across Consumer and Partnerships platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an engineering manager leading distributed/mobile/API teams.
• Experience scaling teams and improving system quality and scale.
• Strong technical depth in mobile and backend stacks; AWS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the reconciliation team's domain and strategy.
• Champion quality, observability, and reliable, secure production systems.
• Mentor engineers, grow the team, and model smart use of AI to speed development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, and Ops to deliver impact.
