Job summary

Utility Technologies International (UTI) is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our pipeline and facility engineering team. This role blends technical leadership, project oversight, and staff development across a wide range of projects from pipeline alignments to complex facility design.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor engineers while maintaining high-quality deliverables and client relationships.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Active PE license is required.
• 10+ years in utility/facility engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Plant 3D.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor engineering staff with workload balancing and development.
• Oversee pipeline projects from alignments to site development and permitting.
• Oversee facility design projects including stations, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to codes and standards, incl. 49 CFR Part 192.
• Support project management activities: scope, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, cost estimating.
• Maintain client relationships and participate in technical meetings.
• Coordinate with operations, field personnel, inspectors, and subconsultants.
• Support proposals and business growth initiatives.
• Conduct occasional field visits for project execution and QA.
