Job summary

Commure is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Revenue Cycle Management team to lead the money-in path from insurer payment to books and patient balances. You will manage a team of ~6 engineers, hire 2 engineers, set direction, unblock hard problems, and stay close to systems to guide technical choices.

You will partner with claims, denials, and financial reporting teams, own roadmap, and ensure accuracy, reliability, and auditable balance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing software engineers (hiring, performance, career growth).
• Track record shipping and operating financial, payments, billing, reconciliation systems in production.
• Strong technical judgment on large databases, pipelines, and complex business rules.
• Experience partnering with operations or customer-facing teams where correctness matters.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfort owning incidents and summarizing them for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of ~6 engineers across payment file processing, matching, ledger recording, bank reconciliation, and reporting integration.
• Hire 2 engineers as an immediate priority and support ongoing coaching and career growth.
• Balance shipping new work with keeping money systems reliable; manage roadmap delivery.
• Grow senior engineers who can own areas (matching, posting, bank recon, patient billing) while the team stays one unit.
• Own quarterly planning and represent the team with product, operations, and leadership; drive clear handoffs and tradeoffs.
