Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience leading teams of technologists and coaching to achieve strategic goals.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operations for stable systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud, AI/ML, or related technical disciplines.
• Proficiency in Java, REST, and microservices with event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
• Proficiency with GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, and Maven.
• Exposure to AI via Python and Copilot in IDEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers from junior to mid-level.
• Oversee design, architecture, and implementation for scalable solutions.
• Deliver software, perform testing, and troubleshoot with a systems mindset.
• Produce architecture artifacts and ensure constraints are met in code.
• Analyze large data sets to improve applications and system performance.
• Identify patterns to drive improvements in code hygiene and architecture.
