Job summary

Qualifications

• PE licensure with three years of progressively responsible engineering supervisory experience.
• Alternate: licensure plus equivalent education/experience; or one year as Manager I, PE; or three years as Supervisor, PE in Nevada service.

Responsibilities

• Review traffic patterns to recommend improvements and traffic management strategies.
• Advise local agencies on traffic management and district-wide policy.
• Oversee Right-of-Way, Bridge Maintenance, and Traffic Management Center operations.
• Ensure safe operations by reviewing construction, maintenance, and traffic control plans.
• Represent the department at hearings and meetings; provide expert testimony as needed.
• Direct and manage staff; set performance standards and evaluate results.
• Assist in budget development and respond to finance and status meetings.
• Provide technical engineering support to committees and testify in court when required.
