Job summary

State of Nevada is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead statewide highway operations and ITS planning efforts in the ITS Planning and Operations section. The role involves managing projects, analyzing performance measures, and developing policy guidance to enhance public welfare and safety.

You will prepare reports, briefings, and communications, coordinate with consultants and staff, and present complex engineering information to management and the public.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• Plans, organizes, and oversees program activities related to statewide highway operations and ITS programs.
• Ability to analyze complex data and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule and oversee program/project activities within the ITS Planning and Operations section.
• Prepare reports, memos, and briefings; communicate information clearly to staff and management.
• Attend public meetings/hearings to provide technical expertise and guidance.
• Write, review, and coordinate agreements with consultants and contractors as required.
• Analyze complex data and develop performance measures and policy guidance for highway operations and ITS programs.
