Meta is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead teams building the operating system frameworks that power Meta's platforms and devices.

You will drive the architecture and delivery of foundational OS-level software — including system services, runtime environments, inter-process communication, and platform APIs — that enable product teams across Meta to build performant, reliable experiences on mobile, wearable, and extended reality devices.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in systems software, OS frameworks, platform engineering, or related low-level software domains.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience leading teams that deliver OS-level or platform software, including experience managing other engineering leaders.
• Experience driving technical strategy and roadmap for foundational software systems such as runtime environments, system services, or platform APIs.
• Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining engineers and technical leaders in a systems or platform engineering domain.
• Experience collaborating across hardware, kernel, and product engineering organizations to define and deliver platform-level software.
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
• Track record of improving platform performance, reliability, or developer experience through systematic investment in engineering infrastructure and tooling.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to evaluate technical direction, improve engineering workflows, or expand team delivery capacity.
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices.

In this role, you will drive the architecture and delivery of foundational OS-level software — including system services, runtime environments, inter-process communication, and platform APIs — that enable product teams across Meta to build performant, reliable experiences on mobile, wearable, and extended reality devices. You will partner closely with hardware, kernel, and product engineering teams to shape the technical direction of platform frameworks that scale across Meta's growing device ecosystem.

• Experience leading platform or OS framework engineering for consumer devices such as mobile, wearable, or extended reality hardware
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience managing teams through significant platform transitions, such as new hardware bring-up, OS version migrations, or API redesigns
