Job summary

Constellation Energy seeks an experienced engineer to perform advanced technical problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations and to serve as a resource to engineers.

You will lead technical analyses, guide short- and long-term programs, and ensure design criteria, codes and procedures are applied accurately. This full-time Maryland-based role involves contributing to safety, reliability and cost efficiency for the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or nuclear) OR related science OR PE license OR SRO license with 5 years engineering or related experience, including 1 year nuclear power plant experience
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, with favorable medical examination and/or testing

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analyses, activities and programs
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
• Direct engineering and technical leadership regarding short- and long-term programs affecting site operations
• Perform engineering tasks applying general engineering principles
• Ensure configuration management and that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used
• Conduct independent research, reviews, and analyses for technical projects
• Recommend equipment concepts and techniques to improve performance and reduce costs
