Job summary

MOHR Talent in Starkville, MS is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management in an in-person role. Translate requirements into producible plans, drive NPI execution with gate reviews, and ensure production readiness.

The position requires 12+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing and strong leadership, with expertise in AS9100, FAI, and change control. Mentorship and strategic engineering influence are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace, or related).
12+ years progressive experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of AS9100, FAI, and configuration management.
Track record leading NPI and manufacturing process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management teams.
Translate program requirements into manufacturing plans that meet cost, quality, schedule, and compliance goals.
Serve as the primary engineering interface to Program Management.
Lead engineering execution for New Product Introduction (NPI), including gate reviews and production readiness.
Drive tooling, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
Own configuration management, change control, and audit support.
Mentor and develop engineering leaders and technical staff.
