Job summary

MOHR Talent in West Point, MS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Director to lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management teams in an in-person, full-time role.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 12+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing, with a strong focus on AS9100, FAI, and change control. A Master's or MBA is preferred and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace, or related).
• 12+ years progressive experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, FAI, and configuration management.
• Track record leading NPI and manufacturing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Configuration Management teams.
• Translate program requirements into manufacturing plans that meet cost, quality, schedule, and compliance goals.
• Serve as the primary engineering interface to Program Management.
• Lead engineering execution for New Product Introduction (NPI), including gate reviews and production readiness.
• Drive tooling, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Own configuration management, change control, and audit support.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and technical staff.
