Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Director of Manufacturing for an aerospace and defense client in Northeast Mississippi. This executive role leads regulated production operations, drives safety, quality, cost, delivery, and capital investments while partnering with senior leadership.

The position requires a engineering degree, plant/leadership experience, Lean and Six Sigma, ERP experience, and the ability to navigate export-control requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Director-level or senior manufacturing leadership experience in a highly regulated setting.
  • Strong Lean and Six Sigma background with track record of improving cost, quality, delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing and production operations.
  • Improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, throughput, and workforce productivity.
  • Scale personnel, equipment, facilities, and processes to support growth.
  • Lead continuous-improvement and operational-excellence initiatives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and senior leadership.
  • Manage manufacturing budgets, resource allocation, and capital investments.
  • Develop manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production personnel.
  • Strengthen production systems, reporting, and operational controls.
