Job summary

LaMotte Company is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide strategic direction and leadership for engineering across Newark, DE and Chestertown, MD facilities. The role owns the Operational Excellence program, leads capital investment, automation, and continuous improvement to support growth while improving safety, quality and productivity.

The position requires directing cross-functional teams, developing talent, and establishing standardized practices across sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred).
10+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams and major capital projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain 3–5 year engineering, capacity, and technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.
Lead engineering activities across Newark and Chestertown and develop personnel with succession plans.
Own LaMotte's Operational Excellence program, defining framework, standards, and performance measures.
Manage annual and multi-year CapEx planning and execution across both sites with ROI justification.
Lead continuous improvement, Kaizen events, and TPM integration to improve throughput, quality, and cost performance.
