Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Poway, CA, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the MQ-9 COCO program.

You will plan, direct and coordinate engineering activities across proposals, development, testing and fielding while ensuring technical, schedule and budget objectives are met. The role requires advanced engineering leadership, strong communication with cross-functional teams, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering or a related technical field with eleven+ years of progressively complex engineering experience.
• Proven ability to resolve complex management and technical problems.
• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from planning through fielding.
• Develop and implement technical, schedule, quality, and financial objectives for COCO programs.
• Lead design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product development and integration.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, statements of work, and contract terms/conditions.
• Lead efforts in talent development and performance reviews with engineering teams.
• Support new business opportunities within COCO and related programs.
