Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Poway, CA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the MQ-9B Program Engineering group to develop and field MQ-9B SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian systems for India.

Under limited supervision, you will lead country-specific airborne, ground and data infrastructure efforts in coordination with program leads. The role includes supporting global supplier development, proposal efforts and customer capability integration, leading

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's, master’s or PhD in engineering or related technical discipline.
Progressive engineering experience with ability to lead workloads and meet milestones.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Leads hardware and software integration for UAS flight environment.
Leads and plans projects with cross-functional teams to meet budget and schedule.
Develops system architectures tied to mission and performance requirements.
Conducts trade studies to meet mission needs and architectures.
Executes full lifecycle program from concept to airworthiness testing and fielding.
Leads test events including SIL, ground and flight tests.
Interfaces with US Government and international stakeholders.
Supports proposal development and development of WBS and engineering estimates.
